Be careful of these- while traveling

Are you smitten by the travel bug lately? After being indoors for two long years, a trip is long overdue.

Or are you on a business trip?

Whatever the reason is, step out in style. Be comfortable. Be safe. Fly first class or at least- take business class flights to Caribbean.

Whatever may be the reason, take care of your safety:

Unwary tourists can make easy targets for thieves because they stand out in a crowd, are unused to their surroundings, and are generally carrying money, credit cards and valuables like cameras.

A dependable travel agent such as Business Flight Shop would care to keep you educated beforehand. Ranting later would do you no good.

Some ways to stay safe while travelling

Research: Foremost, thoroughly research on the places you would be taking a tour through. This helps you understand which places to visit & which neighborhoods to be avoided.

Keep informed: Your family & friends must always know where you have touched base; to be able to help you out in case of any unexpected emergency; and if you aren’t able to contact them after taking New Zealand first class flights(say). But do not let strangers know about your travel plans.

  Avoid unnecessary attention

Avoid unnecessary attention: Dress and comply with the traditions of the place you are travelling, to avoid conflict. “While in Rome do as the Romans do.” Suppose, if you have taken business class flights to South Africa, behave like the locals in South Africa do. Don’t wear valuables.

Always make several copies of important documents like passport, visa, flight tickets, Covid19-vaccination certificate etc. This will save you hassles; in case your phone battery dies out; or in case the documents get lost. And mind you, keep them in separate luggage; one set in your travel wallet too.

Be careful while using public Wi-Fi: There are good chances of your passwords and card informations getting hacked in a public Wi-Fi. Be cautious & use a dependable one.

Be attentive of surroundings: Always be a little alert. Be wary if someone’s taking more than a passing interest in you.If you sense any unusual activities or any conflicts/fights/riots/civil disturbances around you, tactfully move away.

Do not hitch hike. Do not travel or withdraw money at nights in isolated places. And do not fight back if you’re mugged.

Consider carrying a dummy wallet with a small amount of cash. When confronted by a mugger, hand over the dummy wallet. It is better to be robbed of a few currencies than to be gravely injured.

Don’t use a money belt like tourists. Rather use a belt which looks like a normal belt but has a tiny pouch with a zip on the inner side; which are available these days.

Do not use hotel safe.

Buy an Insurance beforehand, which will cover your lost property.

In case of any misfortune in-spite of all these precautions, travel agents will have your back. Whether you are taking business class flights to South America or to elsewhere, agents such as Business Flight Shop will guide you all the way.

Travel miles with smiles.
