Now that you have decided to take the journey through your life and flights king-size; the confusion lies whether you should book best business class flights to Sydney or a first class. Is it worth it; with both first class and business class offering a premium experience?
What is the difference between first class and business class flights?
In a nutshell, the differences can be narrowed down to four categories- the seat, food & drinks, lounges, services.
Lounges
A first class ticket will entitle you to lounges of opulent luxury with premium customer service& may include concierge check-in, valet parking, personal attendants. You have bar service, fine dining, Wi-Fi, office set-up as well.
In business class, you’ll not be entitled to bring in guests/pets or a spa; unlike first class.
Seating
The seat is the most noticeable difference, with some airlines offering first class suites with sliding doors, privacy panels and larger seats; sometimes with personal attendants. Business class seats are recline-able, partially partitioned with lesser space than first class but much more than the economy class. Even the best premium economy flights to Cairns will be better than economy ones.
British Airways, for example will provide you with personal suites with expansive facilities & a foamed mattress in first class compared to relining wide chair for business class passengers. There’s a difference in the quality of toiletries too.
Food and drinks
When on-board mealtime is considered, both the privileged class fare far better than economy class, in a Brisbane first class flight, there’ll be a la carte “dine anytime” menu with on-board lounges whereas in business class, the menu will be one notch lesser on the same extravagant crockery. There’ll be a fixed menu with limited drinks.
Experience
You will be facilitated to a dedicated check-in in business class, which means you do not have to wait in the general queue & you will be seated comfortably even before the economy class has started boarding.
In first class you will be additionally pampered with expedited security, dedicated flight attendants, concierge check-in& other facilities.
Availability
Business class is common on most airlines (even on domestic ones), more seats available & more suitable for short distances.
First class is not commonly found in all airlines (especially on international routes), very few seats on most airlines & more suitable for long haul flights such as Canberra first class flights.
Cost
Prices of business class flights are usually 2X of that of economy class.
First class flights are on average priced at 6X times of economy class.
Reason to choose
Depending on your requirements, you should prioritize.
